LAS FLORES
Las Flores is oriented to create, promote, and strengthen bonds of solidarity, unity, and respect that bring out a sense of home, tolerance, diversity, and community.
This natural space will allow community members to gather, interact with nature, enjoy, play, learn, teach and have a safe, inclusive and culturally appropriate experience.
In the future, we hope Las Flores will host educational, playful and interactive activities on various topics related to growing food, cooperativism, mutual aid, environmental justice, climate change, and other topics.
Las Flores is a collaborative initiative between Conserving Carolina and Tierra Fertil. Since 2021, we have been working together to create an outdoor space that would like to honor the hispanic community and other communities of color, in Henderson County and surrounding areas.
